Going to the Conference Site

Traveling to Bordeaux is very easy. Bordeaux hosts an international airport with connections to major cities in Europe (such as Rome, Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Dublin or Stockholm) as well as Paris and other cities in France. It is also directly connected to Paris by the high-speed TGV train.

From the airport by bus: At stop Aéroport Terminus, take the bus Lianes 1 direction Gare Saint-Jean. Go down at the stop Victoire (A. Briand). About 45mn. Frequency 10mn.

From the train station by bus: At stop Gare St Jean, take the bus Lianes 1 direction Aéroport and go down at the stop Victoire (Marne). About 10mn. Frequency 10mn.

From the train station by tramway: At stop Gare Saint-Jean, take the tramway Ligne C direction Cracovie. Go down at the stop Quinconces. Then, take the tramway Ligne B direction Pessac Centre and go down at stop Victoire. About 30mn. Frequency 5mn.

You can refer to the InfoTBC website to schedule your trip more precisely. Here is a map of the airport.

Hotels

Nowadays one can easily find recommendations for hotel on several specialized web sites. Hence, you can certainly organize your booking with any of your favorite search process on the web, including bed-and-breakfast options.  The website of the Bordeaux tourism Office also offers a large list of hotels in Bordeaux.

The hotels by the train station, or in Meriadeck ousually ffer better prices but these areas are not the nicest in Bordeaux. If you plan to stay for a longer period for collaboration with people at Inria, you may also want to stay in Talence, but this may be not as nice as staying in downtown, and will be a little further from the conference site.

Hotels close to Victory Place, and in "rue Sainte-Catherine" or "rue Saint-Rémy" are nicely located in downtown and walking distance from the campus.

We have not negociated any reduced fare.
